Password 97

Password 97 is a Windows 95 32bit program

Password 97 Protects just about anything you want in to in Windows 95

How does it do this?

Well you see Password does not actually protect the program it protects the window / container that the program uses. As soon as password sees a registered protected window it hides the window so that the user can not use it and puts up a password box to receive verification to allow the users to use the window. If the user presses cancel then Password 97 shuts down the program and goes back into monitoring mode. If the user is registered the password frees up the window so the user can proceed.

What are some of the Major Features?.

This program was designed for Business / Educational use on a server or peer to peer network. It also has the ability to run in total stand alone mode which makes it ideal for home, work or portable machines.
It has 3 levels of security

Supervisor :
System Administrator (Full access ability to create / delete Managers, Tempusers, protect programs and configure settings.

Managers :
Ideal for Section Managers / Lectures / Teachers or Bosses gives them the ability to free up certain protected programs so that other people can access them for a set period of time (ie Internet Explorer for 1hr).

Temporary User :
Receives access to the protected programs selected. There can be multiple users on at the one time and these can be created by the Manager / Supervisor in one easy step.

You can protect just about every thing except the desktop and can unprotect individual items at will.

It is simple and easy to use with good protection against most avenues of by-passing the protection by unscrupless people. However this is not a program that claims to be unpassable but it will definitely give the average to experienced user quite a bit of difficulty and lost time trying to get around it.

If working off a network drive and and the user disconnects from the network then password continues it protection and will only allow the supervisor or manager access to the Protected programs.
